A SLEEPING SAMURAI® ARE HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE DREAMGIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM AS BRAND AMBASSADOR

October 23, 2025 was a special moment for us at A SLEEPING SAMURAI® — not only because it marks the signing of our very first brand ambassador, but because the Kenyan Dreamgirls Basketball Team embodies the very spirit that drives us. As a luxury fashion house built on the belief in rising above our beginnings and reaching ever higher, partnering with Everlyne Kedogo and her remarkable Dreamgirls has been inspiring.

The A SLEEPING SAMURAI brand want to help the less privileged, the people who are going through struggles, the kids who don’t have wealthy parents and connections. All they have is a dream. And, just like Dreamgirls, we want to use our brand platform to help make these dreams come true.

When we started to speak with Dreamgirls about the possibility of our brands working together, we soon realised the world would benefit from more Everlyne Kedogo’s. She is a special woman and what she’s achieved is remarkable.

In 2021, Everlyne enrolled her new team in the lowest level league in Kenya with the sole purpose of using basketball as a way for the girls to have fun, and also providing them with a roadmap to a scholarship. What Everylyne and her Dreamgirls have done is nothing short of a miracle. With most of the girls having never played basketball before, her team is now in Kenya’s Premier League. And this is the greatest illustration that with hard work, focus, dedication, and the love for what we do, that anything is possible. All we need is a dream and to believe. Everlyne had a dream and believed in her Dreamgirls team. And just look what they’re doing!

I can’t tell you how proud we are at A SLEEPING SAMURAI® to have Dreamgirls as our brand ambassador. We are honoured to be working alongside Everlyne and the Dreamgirls, and we will work hard to make sure our relationship is long-lasting and filled with love, hard work, dedication, and support.
