SKATEBOARDING SUPERSTAR ALISA FESSL
In “THE X” series, A SLEEPING SAMURAI® is putting a spotlight on extreme sports athletes whose sport we think has synergy with our brand values, “DO YOUR WORK WITH LOVE, THE OUTCOME WILL BE LOVEABLE™.” Skateboarding of course is in our DNA and so, we at A SLEEPING SAMURAI® are extremely excited to present a profile of Austrian professional skateboarder, Alisa Fessl.
An elite skateboarder, Fessl is a prodigious talent currently in training for the 2028 Olympics. She told us, “The A SLEEPING SAMURAI® brand values align with my approach to skateboarding. When I put real passion into it, it shows in how I skate. It’s about connecting with the board and the moment—when I skate with love, it creates an energy people can feel.”
FREE SPIRIT
Fessl, who was born in Austria in 2001, has that happy, upbeat vibe. She’s a skateboarding free spirit who fell in love with the sport when she was fifteen years old. Since then, she has continued to hone her talent with enthusiasm, dedication, and doing her work with love, she now specialises in the “Skateboard Park” style. Brown is her favourite colour and she’s into indie music, particularly Jack Johnson. Like with many elite sportspeople, Fessl’s parents have been a constant support from the start, along with the support of her country. And even though she enjoys great sport and commercial success, the sports star is remarkably humble, showing genuine gratitude for the help she enjoys.
THE OLYMPICS

Currently in training for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, she is hoping her hard work, dedication, and passion for skateboarding will lead her all the way to a medal.

TRAVEL
Competitions, events, and sponsor commitments has meant in 2024 alone Fessl has visited six continents. She told us, “The best place is definitely San Diego, California. The skate scene and the skateparks are crazy there.”
Her biggest high comes from skating with many people across the world, experiencing how people from different lifestyles and cultures can come together through the common bond that is skateboarding. This sense of community is a feeling we build into the A SLEEPING SAMURAI® fashion brand.
