The A SLEEPING SAMURAI® COLLEGE KINMOKUSEI CAP is an urban take on the bright colours from the Japanese blossom tree. The new six-panel baseball-style hat is crafted from pure cotton in orange with a monochromatic A SLEEPING SAMURAI® College logo embroidery on the front. This on-trend cap features contrasting black accents and a slightly curved visor.

THE STORY
I remember a coolish day in Japan. Summer was now a memory and the Fall was with us. I wanted to take a break from the Tokyo city and decided it would be good to see some nature. I chose Yoyogi Park in Shibuya.
I walked around the park I noticed the empty sakura trees, remnants of a Spring long gone. A bright light in the corner attracted my attention. An orange light. Wait a moment, it wasn't a light. I walked closer and was engrossed with the vivid orange colour and the sweet fragrant smell. It was the kinmokusei tree. Relatively small, it was not much taller than I. On that day I came face to face with the most beautiful of creations. I stood and marvelled at the beauty and the perfume.
As always, my mind soon travels to creating something, and I wanted to pay homage to this beautiful plant. I sat down on the grass and began to sketch a headwear piece that would be bright orange. In the distance I could see Tokyo city. This beautiful plant in this beautiful park was in Tokyo, probably the largest city in the world. I added black accents into my design. A stark contrast to the beautiful orange of the kinmokusei tree.
My design was finished and, with evening approaching, it was time to return to the city and say goodbye to my new plant friend. I would call my new cap COLLEGE KINMOKUSEI. The tree seemed to alone in the park and yet so special, I decided my cap would be a very special limited release, where I would only supply 100 pieces.
