THE STORY

Saturday morning and I was sat in the Hyatt hotel in the centre of Taipei, watching the world go by. Looking into my recently ordered cappucino I began to think about a cap I could wear on a Saturday morning. A go-to cap that's super comfortable in a predominantly neutral colour that will go with anything. A piece that would look as great in a coffee shop as in a high-end hotel lobby.

I took out my pencil and sketch pad and began to sketch out a design for my new headwear piece. I wanted a shape that was super comfortable. I find that a slightly curved visor gives a little more comfortable feel to the cap, and so that's what we'd go for, in a six-panel design. I looked once again into my cappucino. Okay, the colour would be khaki. I now needed some contrast. On the top of my cappucino were sprinkles of the hotel logo. Okay the contrast colour of my new cap would be crimson. Outside, it looked like it was going to be a very hot and humid day, and so I would make my cap 100% cotton with eyelets, along with a button in crimson.
